The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado has been totally redesigned to make it even more appealing, updating the technology and interior, as well as taking advantage of the truck’s most popular body and bed design. With a bigger body and elevated suspension, the Colorado proves it can play with the big boys.
The mid-size pickup features a larger width and longer wheelbase. The new, plush interior offers far more comfort and style for the driver and passengers alike, and its technology, safety, and driver-assistance features get a boost as well. The Colorado now uses a turbocharged four-cylinder engine which can produce up to 310 horsepower depending on the trim level you choose, with the ability to tow up to 7,700 pounds when properly equipped.
The 2023 Colorado comes in one bed-and-body combination: The four-door crew cab with a short bed. This means that the Colorado can seat up to five people. The fresh interior features a center-stack console that sits closer to the passenger side so that the driver has more room. Next to the standard console-mounted gearshift is a dial that offers an alternative way to access the Colorado’s new, larger touchscreen infotainment system.
The engine under the hood of the WT and the LT trims produces 237 horsepower and 259 lb.-ft. of torque for a max towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. The Z71 and Trail Boss trims open up the throttle to 301 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque with the ability to tow up to 7,700 pounds when properly equipped. The ZR2 trim hammers out 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. All trim levels use an eight-speed transmission, and the ZR2 can tow up to 6,000 pounds when properly equipped.
The 2023 Colorado has a new, more assertive look, with a larger grille and narrow headlamp, and it also features a longer and wider body. The redesigned truck has LED headlamps, taillamps, and fog lamps. It comes standard with a high-performance lifted suspension and 17-inch wheels. Eighteen-inch wheels with all-terrain tires are available. The Trail Boss trim has a factory-lifted suspension, a wider chassis, and a two-speed auto transfer case.
The new Colorado is available in eight exterior paint colors which include:
All-new in the Colorado is an 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment center and an 11-inch driver information cluster. Other features standard or available in the Colorado include but aren’t limited to the following:
